Builder. Operator. The Foundation.

At Elev8150, this role is not defined by a single discipline — it’s the integration of many. From site development and fabrication to logistics, media, and daily mountain operations, every aspect of the project is shaped by hands-on experience and a willingness to adapt in real conditions.

The foundation of this work is built on a lifetime of adventure and problem-solving — from whitewater kayaking and backcountry skiing to mountain biking and remote travel across some of the world’s most demanding terrain.

Chef Alayah
Bellrose

The heartbeat and creative force behind Bistro 8150 — and her next chapter starts June 1st.

★   New Chapter Announcement   ★

“She earned it. She’s leaving for one of the most respected kitchens in the American West — and she starts June 1st.”

Alayah has accepted a position at a prestigious destination restaurant — one that reflects exactly the caliber of kitchen she’s been building toward. The name, the place, the full story? That drops June 1st when she walks through the door for her first shift.

Follow @elev8150 for the reveal  ·  June 1st

Her story didn’t begin in a culinary school. It started at 16, washing dishes at SevenGables Resort on Georgetown Lake — commuting every single day by snowmobile on a 10-mile mountain trail through deep Montana winters. That commute alone said everything about where this was going.

What followed was a relentless climb through some of Montana’s most demanding kitchens — from The Resort at Paws Up and The Ranch at Rock Creek to The Montana Club as a traveling line cook. She rose to Sous Chef and Night Kitchen Manager at SevenGables before the age of most culinary graduates.

Trinity
Bellrose

Curiosity. Drive. The future of Elev8150.

At 16, Trinity represents where this project is going. She’s growing up entirely on the mountain — and rather than just living the story, she’s documenting it. Her blog captures the honest, unfiltered texture of what it’s actually like to grow up at 8,150 feet in Montana’s backcountry.

Legacy

Trinity’s interest in science runs deep — inspired by her great-grandfather, Frank Bellrose, the renowned ornithologist and biologist whose decades of research shaped the study of North American waterfowl. That lineage of patient observation and rigorous thinking shows up in how Trinity sees the mountain around her.

Recently awarded a scholarship to Montana State University, she carries both the family’s pioneering spirit and an eye for the world that’s entirely her own.

Brailen Bellrose — Elev8150 crew member and blogger

Brailen
Bellrose

Growing up on the mountain.

Fourteen years old and already part of the story. Most kids his age are navigating suburbs and school hallways. Brailen is navigating backcountry Montana — and writing about it. His blog documents what it’s actually like to grow up at 8,150 feet, in one of the most remote environments a kid could call home.

That perspective is rare. The mountain doesn’t care how old you are — it demands the same respect, the same awareness, the same grit from everyone on it. Brailen’s been learning that since he could walk. That kind of upbringing shapes a person in ways that don’t show up on any report card.

Son  ·  Mountain Man in Training

Tristan
Bellrose

A true born mountain man to be.

Tristan is the youngest member of the crew — and in many ways the truest product of everything Elev8150 represents. He didn’t move to the mountain. He was born into it. The backcountry has been his backyard from the start, and the wilderness is simply the world he knows.

“The kind of foundation you can’t get anywhere else — and can’t replicate once it’s gone.”

Every season at 8,150 feet is shaping him in ways that won’t be fully visible for years. The patience the mountain demands. The self-reliance that comes from real isolation. The instinct that develops when the landscape is always bigger than you are. That’s his inheritance.

Georgetown Lake, Montana  ·  8,150 ft

“Built at 8,150 feet —
nothing about this comes easy.
That’s exactly the point.”

The adventure brings you here. The dining brings you back. And the people — this crew — are why it feels like more than a place to stay. It feels like belonging.
